Commonly asked questions about the sauna journey centrally located for your convenience.
How Many People Fit In A Sauna?
Wether you are looking for a personal 1-2 seater unit or a large 8-10 seater, we have models for everyone. Refer to the pricing page for more specific details and information.
Are They Meant For Outdoor Use?
Yes they are. While they are primarily designed for outdoor use in the backyard, they work indoors as-well.
What Heaters Do you Use?
We use only Harvia heaters for all of our Saunas. Harvia makes high quality heaters that are designed and built in Finland. We offer both electric and wood stove options. All electric heaters run on 220/240V connections and vary in amperage and kilowatts. We also sell saunas without heaters should you already have a heater or prefer another heating style.
*We do not offer infrared heating*
What Size Sauna Do You Build?
We build many. Our three main saunas include the barrel 6' or 8' as well as our rectangular (7' x 7') model in 8' and their respective variations. Refer to the pricing page for detailed descriptions.
Can I Pour Water Over The Stones On The Heater?
Absolutely! All our Saunas are designed to be used both as dry or steam Saunas. To steam the Sauna simply pour water over the rocks. Be sure to follow the heater manufacturers instructions before doing so.
- Tip: To get a great smell in your Sauna besides the natural cedar aroma, try adding eucalyptus, pine, or other essential oils to the water.
How Long Does It Take To Heat Up?
Generally 30-45 minutes. This will vary depending on the heat source, size of Sauna, outdoor temperature, and if the unit has extra windows or not.
- Tip: If you are using a wood stove, burn Douglas fir, cherry, or apple wood for the best burns.
Where Are They Built?
All of our barrel saunas are hand built in the Okanagan Valley. By building our saunas locally, we have greater control over the quality of materials used and the construction process, allowing us to ensure that every sauna we build meets our high standards for quality and durability.
Are They Water Proof?
Saunas with metal roofing are guaranteed waterproof. Saunas without will shed most of the water but leakage may occur if not under cover.
Do You Deliver And Assemble Onsite?
Yes we do! Delivery and assembly is available from West Kelowna to Armstrong. If you live outside this region check with us to see if delivery to your location is offered. Otherwise pick up and self-assembly is also available.
Is There A warranty?
The heater comes with a 1 year manufactures warranty. If you purchase roofing with the sauna and we assemble it for you, the roof comes with a 1 year warranty. We do not accept returns on any saunas, though we are here to help with any questions and support needed.
Is There Financing?
Yes there is! Get in contact with us to get approved for financing.
What Is Your Lead Time?
Typically 3-4 weeks. However, lead times can vary. Best to get in direct contact with us either by phone or over E-mail and we can provide you accurate estimates.
How Long Will They Last?
Our cedar barrel Saunas are built to last for many decades due to their high-quality materials and construction. We use Canadian western red cedar, which is naturally resistant to rot and decay.
How Much Does A Sauna Cost?
Our Saunas start at $7,000 for the 6' circular and range to $10,000 for the rectangular 8'. Refer to the pricing page for more details.

How it works
1. Settle In and Sauna at Your Own Pace
Step into the warmth and take a deep breath. Move through the heat at your own pace — stretch out, sit back, and let your body unwind. There’s no rush here — just time to relax, reset, and reconnect.
2. Cool Off and Refresh
Step outside and awaken your senses. Enjoy a moment in the fresh air, pour a cold bucket over yourself, or take a quick shower to feel instantly renewed. Cooling off is part of the rhythm — balance heat with a refreshing pause.
3. Rest by the Fire
After your sauna session, settle under the outdoor gazebo and rest by the fire. Sip some water, share quiet conversation, or simply watch the flames. This is your time to slow down and soak in the calm.

Why Sauna?
1. Deep Relaxation & Stress Relief
The soothing heat of the sauna helps calm your mind and ease tension throughout your body. As your muscles loosen and your breathing slows, stress melts away, leaving you grounded and refreshed.
2. Improved Circulation
Regular sauna use naturally boosts blood flow as your heart rate rises in response to the heat. This gentle cardiovascular workout supports overall heart health and helps nourish muscles and joints.
3. Detoxification Through Sweating
Sweating is one of the body’s most natural ways to eliminate impurities. Time in the sauna promotes a healthy sweat, helping to flush out toxins and support clearer skin and improved well-being.
4. Muscle Recovery & Pain Relief
Heat therapy helps relax sore muscles and reduce stiffness in joints, making it an ideal recovery tool after exercise or a long day. Many people find regular sauna sessions ease chronic tension and promote faster recovery.
5. Better Sleep & Overall Balance
The combination of deep relaxation, improved circulation, and release of endorphins often leads to better, more restful sleep. A sauna session before bed can help you unwind and prepare for a peaceful night’s rest.
